Italia is Chris Botti's homage to Italy, and the songs on this album range from songs ("Deborah's Theme" and "Gabriel's Oboe" - both by Italian composer Ennio Morricone) to more classical and operatic songs. He does duets with famous tenor Andrea Bocelli, Paula Cole (with whom he often collaborates), and Dean Martin. Chris Botti brings his trumpet and inimitable musical style to these songs bathing them in his own romantic flourishes. All About Jazz says, "
