Dar Williams releases her first album in three years with
Promised Land. Always known for her gentle voice and insightful lyrics,
Promised Land is a continuation of the folk singer's musical styles. With assistance from Suzanne Vega, Marshall Crenshaw and Gary Louris on different songs, this album covers 10 original songs plus a cover of "Midnight Radio" (of the popular show Headwig and the Angry Inch) as well as a cover of Fountain's of Wayne's "Troubled Times."
