After two wildly successful albums, Norah Jones has a hard act to follow with her third release,
Not Too Late. For those who enjoy her music, her voice and songs - gentle melodies with a touch of sultry in her voice - easily slip in your mind and your mood. For fear of just repeating herself and falling into what some might call a coffeehouse singer rut, she strips her music bare for
Not Too Late, her first album consisting of original songs. With bassist and boyfriend, Lee Alexander, Norah Jones sings the songs without a lot of orchestration or lushness of sound, instead letting her voice and lyrics do most of the work. It's an album where she pushes her art in a slightly new direction without relinquishing the strengths that led her to the top.
Not Too Late is also available in a deluxe version which includes a DVD with music videos for "Thinking About You," "Until The End," and "Sinkin' Soon," plus an interview with Norah Jones and behind the scenes footage.
CD released January 30, 2007.
