Sarah Harmer is a delightful singer-songwriter who doesn't get enough exposure for her talents.
I'm a Mountain is her third solo release and is an album whose roots come from her rural Canadian home. Her music is a mix of pop, bluegrass, and folk, sometimes backed with just an acoustic guitar and driven up tempo with full instrumentation at other times.
I'm a Mountain is a warm, sunny album with songs that reflect her down-to-earth roots. The Associated Press says, "Harmer's accompaniment includes plenty of deft picking on guitar, mandolin, fiddle and banjo - none of it gaudy, all of it impeccable.
I'm a Mountain is virtuosity at low volume."
CD released February 7, 2006.
